Captain Kirk Douglas joined the band “The Roots” in 2003 which is also known as “The Legendary Roots Crew”. The band originated from Philadelphia in 1987. The band released their first debut album “Organix” in 1993 which went on well and got the offers from many record labels. Their albums “Do You Want More?!!!??!” in 1995 and “Illadelph Halflife” in 1996 were selected as one of the Source Magazine’s 100 Best Rap Albums in 1998. The bands third full length album ‘Illadelph Halflife’ hit the Top 40 on the “Billboard 200” chart of Billboard magazine. The groups first single ‘What They Do” hit the Top 40 of Billboard’s charts. The bands performances are called as the best in the genre and they tour extensively.
