Joe Walsh, the American guitarist, real name Joseph Fidler was born in November 20th 1947. Joe Walsh is popularly associated with the bands Eagles and James Gang.

He lived with his family in Columbus, Ohio and then moved to New York City. Walsh later moved to New Jersey where he had his education at the Montclair High School. In his early years he played with a number of bands in the Cleveland area, popular one with whom he was associated was called The Beagles. Subsequently, Joe Walsh was also doing his education at the Kent State University.

Joe Walsh who was brought into James Gang in 1969, an American power trio band in place of Glen Schwartz, soon got star attraction with his innovative rhythm playing and imaginative guitar leads. After two years, Joe Walsh left James Gang and formed the group Barnstrom and on 1972 released their debut, eponymous Barnstorm which was a critical success.

Later, Joe Walsh joined the hugely popular country rock band the Eagles in replacement of Bernie Leadon. Leadon had left Eagles in December 1975, informing about his resignation by pouring a beer over Glenn Lewis Frey's head. Glen Lewis Frey was the singer, songwriter and musician in the band Eagles.

After Eagles broke up in 1980, Joe Walsh released many albums. However, there were not many sales on his album.

After many years, Walsh performed with Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival in Dallas, Texas on June 2004. Walsh joined Eagles after their reunion in 1994 and had their successful tour, Hell Freezes Over. Walsh kept touring with Eagles and in 2007, played on their first studio album after 28 years, Long Road Out of Eden.
