David plays the fictional character according to the rock band Spinal Tap. He also is the lead singer and co-lead guitarist. This fictional character was obtained from the mockumentary filim “This Is Spinal Tap” which was released in 1984.

David Ivor St. Hubbins was born in 1943 in Squatney, London, England. He met his fellow Spinal Tap member Nigel Tufnel who lived next door in his flat. At an early age of 7 and 8 both Nigel and David started working on music together. Soon musically addicted, Nigel Tufnel and David Hubbins left school and started playing Tube Station Skiffle. Nigel and David recorded their first song in the year 1955. He was just 12. They had written the song “(Cry) All the Way Home.”

David had his divorce after which he married Jeanine Pettibone who was his long time girlfriend. Jeanine was addicted to astrology and she made him believe that his life changed from shambles because of Jeanine and her astrological faith. Jeanine and David were divorced in early 2000 and remained friends again.

David is working on a long time project, an Icelandic album called Bjork which has not yet been released. This album is of Broadway tunes.
