An American guitarist and vocalist, who formed the Polvo band in 1990, with Dave Brylawski, Steve Popson, and Eddie Watkins. In 1990, United States, Polvo was influential in the then-thriving math rock. In 1994, Ash Bowie also played as the bassist for Helium.

Ash Bowie started a solo project under the name Libraness, after both the bands broke in 1998 and released the album Yesterday.. and Tomorrow's Shells, which was a collection of his solo recordings( from 1993-2000). After that Ash has been playing as a guitarist for Fan Modine band but hasn’t released any more recordings since then.
